Project Overview
Behavior Nation needed a custom, brand-focused website to showcase their services and resources, with an emphasis on creating a seamless user experience. The primary goal was to build a visually engaging and highly functional site from scratch on WordPress, featuring custom layouts, interactive elements, and a robust content management system for blogs and resources.
My role
I was responsible for the full design and development of the custom WordPress theme. My work included creating custom page templates for all sections, implementing dynamic front-end features like carousels and tabs, and building custom post types for efficient content management of resources and job listings. I also handled the integration of third-party plugins and customized them to fit the site's unique design and functional needs.

Challenges & Solutions
One of the key challenges was creating a unique blog page layout that displayed the first post prominently while arranging the rest in a two-column grid. I solved this by developing a custom blog template that uses a conditional loop. I also integrated an infinite scroll solution and the Search & Filter plugin to enhance user navigation and post browsing.
Another challenge was designing an efficient way to display job descriptions on the Careers page without cluttering the layout. I created a custom post type for job listings and implemented a vertical scroll modal, which allows users to view job descriptions in a clean, space-saving pop-up window.
Results
The new website successfully provided Behavior Nation with a fully customized, professional online presence. The site’s unique design and interactive features, such as the video pop-up carousel and dynamic blog layout, significantly improved user engagement. By using custom post types and specialized plugins, I created a scalable and easy-to-manage platform for the client, which delivered a high-quality, custom-built solution that perfectly met their needs.
